When to contact children's Aid Society in Ontario?

If any member of the public or professional have a concern about the safety and/or well-being of a child or youth under 18, they should immediately contact their local Children’s Aid Societies or Indigenous Child and Family Well-Being Agency. We know that children, youth, and families in Ontario are struggling now more than ever.

How old do you have to be to report to a Childs Aid Society?

While reporting for 16 and 17-year old youth is not mandatory, please contact your local Children’s Aid Society if you have concerns about a youth. It is not necessary to be certain that a child is or may be in need of protection to make a report to a children’s aid society.
