2. Consider Your Party Setup. There are 11 wonderful companions to choose from during your adventure, and you'll be able to have a party of six joining you.
3. Take Note Of The Recommended Attributes. Your attributes are a critical part of character creation. There are six attributes to play around with: Might (Your strength both physically and spiritually)
4. Your Appearance And Gender Do Not Influence The Game Dramatically. There are a lot of options to chose from in terms of customizing your character's appearance.

Pillars Of Eternity Skills Official Pillars Of Eternity Wiki

1. Skills come to play in a variety of different contexts and partially determinehow the player character or their followers can interact with the world around them. Notably, only the Watcher's skills are taken into account in dialogue (i.e. a dialogue option that requires 8 Lore won't be available to a Watcher with 7 Lore, even if they have Durance with 12 Lore in the party). Other party members can use their skills in regular gameplay (the game will automatically select the character with the highest applicable score whenever eg. Mechanics are used) and scripted interactions where it's possible to select a character to carry it out (i.e. retrieving the dragon egg during Nest Egg, where you can pick a character with a high Athletics score).

15 Best Builds For Pillars Of Eternity 2: Dead Fire

1. Streetfighter/Shieldbearer Slayer. This build is actually wacky despite being well-rounded. It takes advantage of the Rogue's Riposte ability where the character needs to stack up more than 200 Deflection so that most enemy attacks will miss and the character gets a free attack every time that happens.
2. Evoker/Assassin Spellcaster. Looking for that overpowered mage build? Here it is. It's a Wizard/Rogue multiclass that's all about doing tricks while dealing the most devastating field spells.
3. Bleak Walker/Soul Blade Inquisitor. A Paladin that multiclasses with a Cipher that deals massive amounts of damage is often unheard of. That's why this build is a peculiar novelty.
4. Devoted Dwarf. Multiclass builds can be easy to mess up. That's why sticking to single classes might be easier if you're just a beginner to the game. For such a character, the classic combination of a Dwarven Fighter never fails to be efficient.
5. Devoted Barbarian Whirlwind. Of course, you can't beat the simplicity of a good old-fashioned reckless barbarian. He who doesn't care much about tactics and just attacks continuously.
6. Paladin/Rogue Sniper. Want a build that functions like a true sniper that ghosts away after headshots? The Paladin/Rogue sniper is one such marvel. This multiclass relies on sneaking up to enemies, killing them in one shot, and then disappearing using stealth kills.
7. Debonaire/Beguiler Puppet Master. This build is ideal for anyone tired of direct damage. It's a mix of the Debonaire subclass for Rogue and the Beguiler subclass for Cipher.
8. Rogue/Ranger Maia. For those looking for a class that dishes out huge damage from a safe distance while other party members do the hard work, then Maia's Rogue/Ranger build should perform well.
9. Paladin/Fighter Pallegina. Pallegina is another character that's also viable as a damage-dealing tank. For this, you'd want to give the Avian character some heavy melee stuff and focus on her brawling abilities.
10. Fighter/Rogue Eder. Eder is one of the best companions in the game not only for his tankiness but also for his flexibility. This build takes advantage of his many aspects.

Control Your Fate: 10 Pillars Of Eternity Tips For Any Class

1. Scouting Mode: While this mode slows movement, it also conceals the party. Use it to sneak past tough enemies or to ambush them. Pay close attention to each character’s selection circle; these turn yellow when approaching a foe and red when your cover is blown.
2. Get Some Rest: No, not the kind of rest you’ll need after playing the game all night. Resting is the only way to remove aliments and is critical to restore health on long journeys.
3. A Little Help From Your Friends: Forming an effective party is crucial to survival. Each class has unique abilities, along with a set of pros and cons.
4. Companions: These are special characters that can join your party. Each has a unique story and quest that unfolds during the course of the game. They are not mandatory party members, but they do provide an enhanced experience compared to hirelings.
5. Exploration is the Key: Unlike many games that allow grinding against monsters to raise experience, Pillars of Eternity rewards exploration and questing.
6. Weapon of Choice: Sometimes, a weapon or spell simply isn’t well-suited to penetrating an enemy’s Damage Reduction. When the attack hits, the DR will wipe out all but a small percentage of the incoming damage.
7. Do It Yourself: Throughout your adventure, take notice of a variety of strange objects with no immediate usefulness. These ingredients can be used to Craft consumable goods (e.g., potions and scrolls) or Enchantments for weapons, armor, and shields.
8. Hit or Miss: All characters have four primary defenses against specific types of attacks: Deflection (physical attack), Fortitude (body attacks like poison or disease), Reflex (area of effect attacks), and Will (mental attacks).
9. Pause Combat When Needed: Combat in this game uses a pauseable real-time system. Often you have to manage more than one character’s spells and abilities.
10. Spells and Ability Usage: Many spells and abilities have a limited number of uses. An ability that can be used a number of times Per Encounter have all of its uses restored when combat ends.
