The Board provides a virtual school option for grades 9 -12 that includes, at a minimum, all courses that are needed to obtain a high school diploma. Exceptions must be approved by the Virtual Schools Review Team based on documented need.

Jefferson County Schools received word from the Tennessee Department of Education (TDOE) on Friday, July 2 that the Jefferson County Virtual Academy (JCVA) has been approved. JCVA's office will be located on the Rush Strong School Campus. The academy will operate as an independent school with a STEM focus.
Special Education, GT, ESL, SEL, and counseling services and support will be available. Jeffco Virtual Academy (JVA) offers online courses for grades 6-12 for students throughout Colorado. JVA is free to students younger than 21 years-old, who enroll in full or part-time classes.
