1. Codecademy. Learning to program with interactive platforms has become somewhat of a thing in the recent couple of years, and sites like Codecademy are setting the bar for how such a platform should be built.
2. MDN. The Mozilla Developer community is big about JavaScript, and their Mozilla Developer Network resource for all things JavaScript is one of the most comprehensive ones that you can find on the web.
3. Learn JavaScript – Interactive Tutorial. A fantastic interactive tutorial on how to learn JavaScript that allows you to start entirely free of charge. Keep in mind, you will not learn only the basics, there are also some advanced tutorials available for you to look into.
4. Learn JavaScript (Step-By-Step) In this day and age, learning about new topics, industries, whatever, is a whole lot simpler than it once was. After all, you have all the necessary on the internet – just Google it.
5. JavaScript Garden. If you are a first-timer when it comes to JavaScript, you might avoid JavaScript Garden for now. After all, it is a remarkable resource of content that helps teach those already involved into JavaScript about the most common mistakes, performance issues, bad practices and other whatnots.
6. freeCodeCamp.org. As massive as freeCodeCamp.org is, it is almost impossible for someone eager to learn to code at home to never heard of it. Oh well, that’s when we come into play.
7. Eloquent JavaScript. This is one of the most talked about JavaScript books on the web, and not because it’s free or reliable, but because it provides deep insight into JavaScript and how to see JS as a true and native programming language.
8. Try JavaScript. Want a brief introduction to basic JavaScript syntax? The Try JavaScript website is an interactive learning platform that introduces basic concepts and insights into JavaScript, further recommending you to begin exploring the language on your own terms.
9. JavaScript Is Sexy. This used to be an experiment in learning, but one that succeeded and exceeded expectations even of the site developers themselves. JavaScript is Sexy has become somewhat of a standard for beginner and intermediate level programmers to learn everything there is to know about the language through engagement in community, completion of challenges, as well as answering quizzes and questions about the things that you are learning as you go.
10. JavaScript Enlightenment. The name for this book speaks for itself. This particular JavaScript book is not about working with design and objects. It has not been written to be a guide into JavaScript for beginner class developers.

1. Introduction. As always, the course begins with a screencast about the subject in general and an overview of the course structure. Dylan will also tell you a little bit about himself so that you’ll get to know him before you dive into the coding.
2. Variables. The first concept you’ll need to learn is variables, which are for storing values. In modern JavaScript there are two keywords for doing that: let and const.
3. Strings. In the second lesson, you’ll learn about your first data type: strings. A string simply stores a sequence of characters wrapped in quotes.
4. Strings challenge. It’s time for the first challenge of the course! In this one, you’re going to try and combine two variables into one. let firstName = "Dylan"; let lastName = "Israel"; console.log(fullName); // --> ReferenceError: fullName is not defined.
5. Numbers. Next up is the second data type you’ll need to learn: numbers. Other languages often have multiple data types for numbers, like floats for decimal numbers and integers for the whole numbers_._
6. Numbers challenge. In the numbers challenge, you’ll be exposed to a few different strings and numbers combined with the methods you’ve learned so far.
7. Booleans. Booleans are simple, they’re either true or false. Here’s how you create a boolean value: let example = true; The fact that example now is set to true can come in handy when you’re programming, as you sometimes want to take actions based upon conditions like this one.
8. Booleans challenge. In the booleans challenge, Dylan follows the same pattern as the numbers one, where you are to guess a bunch of values. Your job is to guess whether or not these variables are truthy or falsy
9. Arrays. The data types you’ve learned up until now, are so-called primitive values. Now it’s about time to learn about the array, which is a non-primitive value.
10. Arrays challenge. In the arrays challenge you’ll be introduced to the concept of padding by reference or value, which is important in order to understand JavaScript properly.
