1. Heavensward: Astrologian. Astrologian is a Healing class whose gameplay involves shuffling and strategically playing tarot cards via their star globes to buff the party.
2. Heavensward: Machinist. Machinist is a Ranged Physical DPS class that specializes in using magical firearms, and at later levels, temporarily deploying automatons to assist in combat.
3. Heavensward: Dark Knight. Dark Knight is one of FFXIV’s four Tank classes and sits between Tank and Warrior in terms of balancing pure tanking capability and damage output.
4. Heavensward: Blue Mage. Blue Mages are a very unusual Ranged Magical DPS class. It’s considered a limited job, so Blue Mages cannot participate in Duty Roulettes of any kind and can only enter dungeons or trials as part of an undersized or preformed party.
5. Stormblood: Samurai. Can’t have ninjas without samurai! This Melee DPS class is all about raw damage and can be picked up by speaking with the Ul’dahn Citizen on the Steps of Nald.
6. Stormblood: Red Mage. While the immaculately dashing Red Mage is considered a Magical Ranged DPS class, Red Mages also have access to several melee attacks, which are used in conjunction with their casts.
7. Shadowbringers: Dancer. Dancer is a Ranged Physical DPS class that’s all about nailing combos and buffing your party through dance. The starting quest, “Shall We Dance”, can be picked up in Limsa Lominsa by talking to the Eager Lominsan at the Limsa Lominsa Lower Decks.
8. Shadowbringers: Gunbreaker. Gunbreaker, like Warrior, is a damage-dealing Tank. The starting quest can be picked up in Old Gridania by speaking to the Gods’ Quiver Bow, who should be standing near the main aetheryte crystal.
