How to Calculate a Golf Course Handicap: 11 Steps (with Pictures)

1. Nine or less: maximum score per hole is a double bogey
2. 10 to 19: maximum score is seven
3. 20 to 29: maximum score is eight
4. 30 to 39: maximum score is nine
5. 40 and above: maximum score is 10 (use this default if you haven't yet determined your handicap)

18. Select the Lowest Differentials.
