Sugarloaf Golf Club has been rated one of the top tracks in Maine ever since it debuted in 1985. A demanding layout that throws up some spectacular, plunging holes. Located in Orono, Maine, Penobscot Valley Country Club has hosted numerous important tournaments since the golf club was established in 1924.
On the golfing front, eight clubs founded the Maine State Golf Association back in 1917 and it’s grown down the years to a position where it now oversees the golfing activities of amateur golfers in 130 clubs throughout the state. There are also a couple of women’s associations that provide a corresponding service for female golfers in Maine.
One of the founding clubs of the Maine State Golf Association in 1917, BGC offers four sets of tees for golfers of all skill levels as well as a full dining and banquet facility for events of all types and sizes. Tee times and golf carts are always available, but Brunswick has long been known as one of the easiest courses to walk in the state.
