2. Yellow Ribbon Program Open Season for Foreign Schools June 15 - June 30. May 26, 2021. The recent passage of Public Law 116-315, Section 1008, “Technical Correction to Clarify Eligibility for Participation in Yellow Ribbon Program of Department of Veterans Affairs,” amends Section 3317(a) of title 38 USC and allows foreign schools to participate in the Yellow Ribbon Program.
3. Veteran Rapid Retraining Assistance Program (VRRAP) Application is Open. May 3, 2021. The Veteran application is now available. To learn more about VRRAP and how to apply.
4. Lump Sum Payment Program (LSPP) Training for Work Study Allowance Programs Participants. April 15, 2021 8:25 AM. Through the LSPP, eligible Education and Training Institutions may apply to become a 154 Administrating Facility (154AF), which allows them to receive an annual lump sum payment from VA.
5. Changes to the “48 Month Rule” for VR&E and EDU Beneficiaries. April 7, 2021 8:00 AM. Effective April 1, 2021, the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) no longer counts the use of Veteran Readiness & Employment (VR&E) benefits (chapter 31) against the 48-month limit on GI Bill education benefits such as the Post-9/11 GI Bill.
6. Yellow Ribbon Program Agreements. March 16, 2021 1:15 PM. From March 15 to May 15, 2021, we are accepting new Yellow Ribbon Program agreements, modifications to existing open-ended agreements, or agreements to withdraw from participation.
7. Effective 11/5/20 STEM Scholarship Beneficiaries are Eligible for Work Study Benefits. December 2, 2020 10:45 AM. Work Study applications and contracts are currently being accepted for STEM Scholarship recipients.
8. Verify STEM Attendance via Text. November 6, 2020 4:00 PM. Beginning this month, Rogers STEM Scholars will receive an initial opt-in text message to their primary phone number asking if they would like to participate in STEMText.
9. VA Extending Benefits Beyond 48 Months. October 28, 2020 3:30 PM. See our Facebook Post that explains how your benefits can be extended if they don't cover your full term.
