High volume training doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll be training with light weights or with low intensity. You should still be training hard and using challenging weights. So don’t use high volume training as an excuse to slack off!

Which is better high volume or low load training?

A study published in the August 2010 issue of PLOS ONE concluded that high-load, high-volume training is more effective at triggering muscle anabolism and protein synthesis than high-load, low-volume methods.
