3. anonymous Nov 21, 2021. We had F1,3,5,7. This was the third best of the four. Some obstruction, but we got used to it. Someone tall with lots of hair sat in front of us. That was a bigger problem than the column. Still a good value, since we got the “obstructed view” discount. 3.

The best seats in my opinion are row DD of the parquet (orchestra) along the aisle. These seats have extra leg room and less obstruction of view form tall heads Check the seating chart here. http://www.kimmelcenter.org/about/seating/index.php?chart=aombwy-parquet if you can't get these seats, I'd also recommend the first row of parquet boxes.

Sort by: best. level 1. loyaboya. · 2y. I’ve always sat in the family circle and have still had a pretty good view. Since you have a group, price wise it’s a good deal but if you wanna sit closer and price isn’t an option, wouldn’t hurt to sit in a lower level! 2. level 1. macgruberstein.

I'm a little late, so my seat choices are slightly limited. Reference map I'm looking at seating in the parquet level. However, I noticed that the parquet boxes are immediately in front of the back half of the parquet level. They're also ~$50 extra in price, as compared to the seats behind them. Are they worth the extra premium?

The seats on the extreme sides will give you a great view of the people on the opposite side of the theatre in the same seats. Your best bet is to get as center as possible as the theatre is shaped

165 reviews of Academy of Music "I recently went here to see the performance of "Edward Scissor Hands" and got my first glimpse of the theater. It's a classic beauty with all the grandeur, exquisite architecture, and elaborate decoration that you'd expect from an old theater. My initial ticket was up in the amphitheater seats, which are basically five floors up.

The Academy of Music is Philadelphia’s cornerstone of the arts. As the oldest opera house in the United States still hosting performances, the Academy of Music stands as a testament to the city’s vibrant arts community.
A partial view from an extreme side where half your view is the wings would be preferable to a column seat. The Academy of Music has a lot of bad seats. Except for the main floor, the seats are a semi-circle arranged in front of a proscenium, so the seats closest to the stage have a LOT of the stage cut off.
ADA accessible seating is located on the Orchestra level, as marked on the map. All Loge and Upper Balcony seating require taking stairs. We do not have an elevator in our 1891 historic building. Spaces marked with wheelchair symbols on the seating chart are platforms designed to accommodate wheelchairs.
